Why I Work...
Whenever I begin to feel lost, I know I must get to work. Work is a ritual to me, an ongoing process that keeps me engaged and striving to improve both myself and the world around me. There are four integrated aspects to my philosophy: dedication, passion, potential and community.
I have always been a passionate person, unable to resist putting all of myself into a task or project. It is through this mine passion which fuels my dedication: my ability to see a project through to the end, regardless of the obstacles that arise. Of course, these two traits only operate on inspiration, and I draw this from my community. I see a beautiful potential in the people around me. I truly believe in the power of incivility and diversity, to realize a community’s true potential. Work provides an outlet for these four integrated aspects of my personality, and without this outlet, I lack both personal and professional satisfaction. It is essential that I put this work philosophy into practice.
