WROTE

Like a mournful, low-hanging morning fog, there’s a quiet determination to the vulnerable truths that Erin Muir lays bare with Wrote. Conceived in the tiny, contemplative moments between exhaled cigarettes under a sparkling moon in the summer of 2016, the project sees Muir as the eye of a hurricane. Whether filled out by what is an ever-rotating cast of confidants and collaborators, or standing shrouded alone, Wrote is an open-book of anxieties, heartbreak, and uncertainty.

Usse

Usse creates improvised music within a structural framework, exploring the intersectionality of motion, mechanics and timber. In the vein of soundmaking aesthetics relating to free jazz and free music, nowave and post-punk, and the 'krautrock' era of German music, the desire is to explore common interests of spontaneity, play, tension, time and space. Instrumentation is rooted in drum and bass, accompanied by synthesizer, guitar, saxophone, and percussion, alternating between voice, instrumental and found sound related compositions.
